VOTING OPPORTUNITIES IN RICHMOND

A number of voting opportunities are offered in Richmond, which include 38 neighbourhood voting places on General Voting Day, 10 advance voting opportunities over five days, voting for residents of care facilities and voting by mail ballot.

General Voting Day, Saturday, October 20, 2018

On Saturday, October 20, 2018, Richmond electors may vote at the voting place designated for their neighbourhood from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. Registered electors will receive a voting card in the mail in early October, which indicates which voting place is designated for their neighbourhood. Residents may also consult the Voting Place Look-up Tool on the City website to find out where to vote on General Voting Day.

Attached is a list of voting place locations as well as a map of the 38 voting divisions.

Advanced Voting, October 6, 10, 11, 12 and 13, 2018

An eligible voter may vote at an Advance voting opportunity. Advance voting will be held on the following dates from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm at the locations noted below:

  • Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Richmond City Hall:
  • Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at Richmond City Hall;
  • Thursday, October 11, 2018 at:

Mail Ballots

Eligible voters may vote by mail if;

  • they expect to be away on General Voting Day and for all advance voting opportunities; or
  • they have a physical disability, illness, and/or injury that affects their ability to vote in person on General Voting Day or at all advance voting opportunities.
